Welcome to the New Zealand Whisky Awards, The Drammys were created with the primary objective to grow the whisky category and celebrate the best worldwide whiskies on offer in the New Zealand Retail market.

Gina Nicholls has been working in the hospitality industry for around a decade with past experience seeing her work at events all around the world, from royal weddings to the Formula 1 track on Yas Island. These experiences saw Gina move onto fine dining restaurants and bars, which ignited her passion for cocktail making. Gina is now on-premise sales manager for Tickety Boo.
Award and competition-winning cocktail bartender and booze alchemist who has a certification in Distilling, West Level 2 spirits, and won well known Lewisham Awards as Outstanding Bartender in 2022.
Jay Corcraighe, a figure known mostly in the Australian Whisky Industry, brings a wealth of experience to the New Zealand Whisky Awards. Currently serving as the Venue Manager of Cafe 39 in Ponsonby, Auckland, Jay has collaborated with renowned whisky bars and societies across Queensland, Australia, including the Scottish Malt Whisky Society and acclaimed bars such as The Scottish Prince in the Gold Coast, and Death and Taxes in Brisbane; twice awarded Australia’s best whisky bar. Jay’s established expertise in whisky is underscored by their previous role as a selected industry judge for the Australian Whisky Awards. Notably, they have a keen interest in Irish & Japanese distilleries, which was a focal point of their industry tour of Japan.
